Steph Curry Lovefest in Trouble and the Workout

I think that the basketball gods have decided that the Golden State Warriors deserve to get a metaphorical kick in the junk by the Oklahoma City Thunder after Draymond Green delivered not one, but TWO ACTUAL kicks to the junk of Steven Adams. After winning 73 games in the regular season it seemed that the Warriors could do no wrong.... then the shots to the crotch started flying. Basketball gods along with the insane athletic ability of Russell Westbrook and the crazy combination of height and handles that is Kevin Durant. Coach Billy Donovan looks like a genius but really... you have two of the top five basketball players in the NBA on the same team?!

Kim Davis: If You Can't Do Your Job, Get a New One?! Morning and Evening Workouts

Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis needs to move on. The Supreme Court of the United States of America has ruled that it is legal for same sex couples to marry and enjoy all of the civil and legal rights that all other U.S. citizens have. However, Kim Davis has determined that her religious beliefs trump the rights of those same sex couples and she refuses to issue them marriage licenses. I get it, Ms. Davis has every right to believe what she does.... but if she cannot uphold the ruling of the Supreme Court as an officer of a government agency in the United States she doesn't have to... however, she needs to resign or be fired and replaced with someone that will.

Some Texas Counties on Same Sex Marriage and Leg Day

I cannot believe what I heard on the radio today. There are a number of counties in Texas that are ignoring the recent decision made by the Supreme Court of the United States making same sex marriage constitutional. These counties are not issuing these marriage licenses based on "religious reasons"?! What?!

I would guarantee that if the decision had gone in the other direction, if the Supreme Court had decided that same sex marriage is not a constitutional right then these same counties in Texas would be crowing from the rooftop of their county seat and beating us over the head with the ruling. You and your bigoted ways that denied a whole group of American citizens equal rights under the law lost. Get over it.

Today's quote is from Jon Huntsman Jr. (ironically):

"People truly reaching across boundaries - be they religious or race, political or geographic. A state that is sincerely civil and respectful of each individual's pathway toward life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness will be our goal."

Well Fed and Leg Day

I wanted to make a pitch for a great book that I recently purchased. It is called Well Fed: Paleo Recipes for People that Love to Eat. I am not 100% paleo by any stretch of the imagination, but these recipes are very easy, there are step-by-step instructions and are very tasty. Last night we had the Ginger-Lime Shrimp and it was fantastic. The best part of the book in my opinion is the idea of prepping what you can ahead of time so that when you are busy and in a rush for dinner you can still make something delicious and healthy.

Today's quote is from Dave Barry:

"Eating rice cakes is like chewing on a foam coffee cup, only less filling."
